HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

For surgeries, please see your own GP's timetable:

  1. Timetable - Dr Schembri
  2. Timetable - Dr Kumar and Dr Sinha

We aim to meet current NHS targets regarding access to a general practitioner. To help us achieve with the NHS targets of access to a GP please telephone early in the morning for an appointment on that day. Appointments for follow-ups, or where clinically necessary, can be booked in advance. If you have a problem booking an appointment, please ask to speak to the practice manager responsible for appointments and we will endeavour to help you. Practice nurse appointments can be booked in advance.

You are free to consult the doctor of your choice within the practice. If the doctor you wish to see is not available ie their surgery is full or they are on holiday, then you will be offered an appointment with another doctor. If you request an emergency appointment then you will be seen by whichever doctor can give you the earliest appointment. Each appointment is for one patient only; please make a separate appointment for each member of your family if required. Emergency consultations can be arranged with the receptionist.

If you have more than one problem and know you will take longer than the usual appointment time of 10 minutes, please book a double appointment.

Please try not to extend your 10-minute appointment time as this then causes delay to other patients.

When you see the doctor in surgery it would be helpful if you could bring along all your current medication for review.

CHAPERONE

You are entitled to ask for a chaperone during your consultation. You can ask at reception before your appointment or at any time during your appointment with your doctor.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?

Patients are requested to telephone their practice number before 10.30am if a visit is required that day. Emergency visits will only be arranged after that time. Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority to house calls. Please remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time that it takes to do a home visit. Doctors also find that it is easier to do certain examinations at the health centre than in the home.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN PATHOLOGY RESULTS?

To ease congestion please do not telephone for results. If the doctors ask you, please make an appointment with them 10 working days after your test or we will write to you if you need to be seen. Alternatively, you can call into the surgery between 2.30 and 3.30pm but please allow 10 working days after your test.
